This is the self-bailer used on Toppers sail numbers 14000+ It should come with no bolts, nuts or gasket. The six nuts and bolts (which are unique to Topper) that hold it in to the boat clamp the hull to the deck and therefore they must be tightened securely to prevent leaks. Use existing nuts and bolts, discard any gaskets that might have come with the bailer. (Make sure you put the bailer in the right way round!) The recess in the hull is deep and you must insure that the bailer enters the hole horizantally and is level before fully tightening nuts. View larger image
